Project Update: Citrus College Dugout Holding Strong

On March 20, 2024, we had the opportunity to demonstrate FirmeCrete’s durability in a real-world setting during our Training Event at Citrus College. We applied FirmeCrete coatings in front of the baseball dugout, an area subject to heavy foot traffic from players wearing metal baseball spikes. After months of constant use, we recently revisited the site 8 months later and were thrilled to see that our coatings are holding up great, showing minimal wear even under such harsh conditions.
The Blue integral color featuring the Citrus College logo, with embedded blue glass, remains vibrant and intact. We also used our standard grey around the logo, and the top step was finished with a Black integral color and Carbide finish, the same finish used on the adjacent wall. These finishes highlight FirmeCrete’s ability to withstand abnormal wear-and-tear, like metal spikes on a concrete overlay, proving that our products offer long-lasting protection and beauty, even in high-abuse areas. In our own office entrance, we showcased the Firme Pads’ versatility and design potential. We began with a 30-grit pad to enhance slip resistance, gradually working up to 400-grit to reveal a smooth, polished finish across alternating hexagons in our floor pattern.
